Sr. Stella Sabina

Sr. Stella Sabina founded Shifting Ideas Through Education for African Women, Inc. (SITEAW, INC), an organization that raises money to sponsor girls who, if not in school would be subjected to genital mutilation, premature marriage, and trafficking. SITEAW also sponsors girls and women from poverty-stricken families that cannot afford school fees what-so-ever to acquire education and skills to change their lives. She believes empowering girls and women with education is the most effective way to raise them up to human dignity. If empowered, girls and women are the only ones who can end every inhuman tradition in their ethnic groups from within. With the help of the Camp Sisters in Colorado, SITEAW was able to rescue and sponsor more girls in school in 2017 bringing the number to 35. It costs $500 to sponsor a girl in Primary School, $ 1000 in High School and $3500 in College per year.
