Chief Operating Officer – College of Liberal Arts, Purdue University
A proven non-profit, arts, and higher education leader, Lori Sparger is Chief Operating Officer for the College of Liberal Arts at Purdue University. A member of the Dean’s leadership team, she collaborates on setting strategic direction and implementing policies and initiatives to advance the mission of the College. She also serves as the College’s chief innovation officer, working with the Dean on new initiatives and program development including its new Degree in 3 initiative and its Cornerstone Integrated Liberal Arts program.
As Chief Operating Officer, she leads the College’s administrative functions, including marketing and communication, recruitment and career advancement, academic and career advising, scholarships, and employee relations. She also instructs SCLA 300: LA Influentials, a class featuring prominent Purdue Liberal Arts alumni to assist students in planning their career paths. Lori received her bachelor’s degree in English from Purdue.
One of her great pleasures is helping people recognize their gifts and step into themselves. She is the co-author with Todd Putman of Be More: Find Your Truth, Tell Your Story, and Get What You Want Out of Life. As a writer, she is committed to telling stories that matter.
