We established this amazing venue as the home to our annual Fall Retreat in 2019, it is situated in the heart of Black Forest, Colorado.
La Foret boasts a variety of lodging accommodations; each named after the flora found throughout the forest. Camp Sisters will have a choice between freestanding cabins or the yurt village.
All of the cabins have a common area, bedrooms with bunk beds, and bathrooms. The yurt village is comprised of six yurts furnished with six beds in each. They are served by a central bathhouse with multiple toilets, showers, and sink facilities.
Wondering what a yurt is...Yurts are traditional portable housing units that were used by the nomads of Mongolia and across Asia. These are updated versions made of wood and canvas.
During registration campers will choose between the cabin and yurt accommodations, select a preference on the upper or lower bunk, and tell us about their sleeping habits (early risers, night owls, snorer...etc) We do our best to accommodate everyone's needs!
Campers will need to bring their own bedding: pillows, sheets, blankets, sleeping bags, and towels to ensure they have exactly want they need.
All Camp sisters must stay on the La Foret property, and for safety and security issues, we ask that no one leave the property without contacting Camp staff.
Our time at La Foret will feature home-cooked meals, buffet-style! Our camp committee and staff ensure the menus are tasty, healthy, and have plenty of options to meet any food allergies.
Breakfast will be served on Saturday and Sunday. Lunch will be provided Friday and Saturday, with a final send-off brunch served on Sunday.
Coffee, tea, and water service will be available 24/7 at various locations. Complementary Babylonstoren wine and non-alcoholic selections will be at our Happy Hour receptions Friday and Saturday night.
