Mula Bhanda is the “lock” or the lift of the pelvic floor muscles. It can help with the core strength necessary to keep the pelvis in correct alignment in the asanas and with the centralization of the femurs in the hip sockets. Based on the work of Ramanand Patel, we will explore how to keep the Pelvic floor area broad while it is lifted, or engaged. Ancillary muscles of the abdomen and buttocks are also toned and balanced. Toned pelvic floors help with the health of the pelvic/abdominal organs.
For Level 2 students and above.
